That being said, I found it well-worth the price, and I have hope in the future that Octopath Traveler 3 will be an even greater work.Update v1.02 (Fix 5.05 / 6.72 / 7.02 / 7.55 / 9.00) : Mega – Mediafire There is scant story between actual cities, though lorewise it makes sense (what with monsters and all. Most times its a way to get from point A to point B. It is big, there are roads, but it feels quite empty outside of the cities. I chose Hikari and loved that entire arc. Agnea did not for me, but after reading up about how it connects I can appreciate it a tad more. Also, some stories will not resonate with you. They felt unconnected, though it was fun to find the references between them (and some are well-hidden), having the entire party go through a chapter but be ignored during story sections was a tad irksome. However, I felt some things were lacking. I couldn't stop playing the game until I had completed everything. I legitimately loved the ultra-hard optional boss fight because after level 50, there isn't much challenge. The beauty of pixel art is on full-blast and I stopped at some of the scenes to just take in the view. The music is stellar (though I have my favorites) and each character has their strengths in combat and with interactions. I love the turn-based combat and it allows for quite a bit of strategy which opens up even further as you find additional jobs scattered throughout the world.
Having obtained 100% on this game, there's a few things to gush about.
